health insurance doesn’t fully cover the cost of the REALIZE Band surgery, or
if you don’t have health insurance, you’ll have to arrange for payment on your
own. To help make that process easier for you, we teamed up with National City
to offer the Financing Program for the REALIZE Band.

An easy affordable plan to help you reach your goals
The Financing Program loans are arranged directly between you and National
City. Loan applications can be completed at any time before your surgery, even
before you have selected a bariatric surgeon. A Loan Consultant will
personally guide you through the loan application process and answer any
questions you might have. You will be notified of the credit decision status*
within 2 business days after your application is received.
*Approval dependent upon credit criteria.
Once your loan is approved and surgery is confirmed, checks are mailed
directly to your doctor, hospital, and any other required parties. Ethicon
Endo-Surgery does not underwrite these loans and does not profit from your
loan payments.
Types of loans
Your National City Loan Consultant will help you determine the best type of
loan for your needs. National City offers mortgage secured and unsecured lines
of credit, as well as a mortgage secured installment loan. You can borrow a
portion or the entire cost of your gastric banding surgery.
Interest paid on loans secured by your home may be deducted on your annual
income tax return. Always consult your tax advisor regarding the deductibility
of interest expense. Lines of credit allow you to borrow exactly the amount
that you need and interest is paid only on the dollar amount used.
Interest Rates
Your interest rate will depend on whether the loan is secured by your home,
the dollar amount borrowed, credit qualifications and type of loan product.
In general, mortgage secured loans may offer lower interest rates than
unsecured loans.
National City is offering an exclusive interest rate discount to patients
receiving the REALIZE Band. This discount will be available to all approved
loans, regardless of the type of loan or your credit score.
